Pudding Tower Speed EatingHow to play & tips
Open wide, close, gulp! A speed-eating game where you see how many seconds it takes to finish a 6-tier pudding tower.
What kind of game is it?
On the stage of an eating contest, you take on a 6-tier pudding tower. Your phone’s camera reads your mouth opening and closing, and each time you open wide and close, you take 1 bite. Each tier takes 5 bites, 30 in all. You compete on how many seconds it takes to finish; if you can’t finish in 60 seconds, time’s up.
How to play
Choose “Eat with camera” and a setup screen appears before you start. Show your face to the camera, open your mouth wide and close it, and after “3, 2, 1, go!” the clock starts. Your own video is never shown; you can see how wide your mouth is open from the challenger’s face and a meter.
The wider you open, the more you eat at once. Normally it’s 1 bite, but opening wide gives you “Chomp!” for 2 bites, and opening as wide as you can gives you “MEGA CHOMP!!” for 3 bites.
With “Eat with taps”, press the “Gulp” button at the bottom of the screen 3 times for 1 bite. You can also play this way when the camera isn’t available or you didn’t allow it.
Ratings
Your rating depends on the time it took to finish. Under 6 seconds is “Legendary Food Fighter”, under 9 “Food Fighter”, under 14 “Big Eater”, under 22 “Normal Appetite”, and anything slower is “Savoring Every Bite”. If you can’t finish in 60 seconds, you get “Couldn’t Finish” and see how much you ate. The thresholds are the same for camera and taps.
Best and sharing
Your fastest times are saved on this device separately for camera and taps, and you can check them on the scoreboard on the home screen.
Tap Share on the result screen to share your time and rating.
Tips to get better
- Open your mouth as wide as you can. Keep landing 3-bite “MEGA CHOMP!!” and the 30 bites are done in about 10 tries.
- One bite counts only once you close your mouth fully. Opening again before you’ve closed doesn’t count as eating.
- If your face leaves the camera, your mouth can’t be read. Hold your phone in front of your face and play somewhere bright.
- Taps take 3 presses per bite, so the camera lets you eat faster. If you’re going for a record, try the camera.
Notes from the creator
I wanted you to feel the “one more tier!” excitement of an eating contest by moving your mouth. The camera video is used only to read how wide your mouth is open on your device; it’s never shown on screen, saved, or sent. Your records are saved only in this browser too. Available in 9 languages: Japanese, English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese.
